Character Counts

Character Counts PIllars

A person's character is the totality of his/her habits, attitudes, and attributes. These values can be learned and are purposely taught and encouraged. The program teaches character development based on six ethical values: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

Sponsored by the PTA, Character Counts is a program that was developed by Michael Josephson and has been adopted at schools all over the world! Character Counts is introduced through activities that take place inside and outside the classroom. The first Monday of every month is Fun Day Monday and kick's off the month's character theme. Students are recognized during Friday Flag ceremonies for demonstrating the quality of the month.
